Head Start Teacher’s Assistant

Job Location: CCCB at Clyde Park - Ogden

Position: Part-Time 

Education Level: 2-Year Degree

The Teacher’s Assistant will work cooperatively with the classroom teacher, staff, parents, and volunteers to carry out the responsibilities of the center in order to meet the needs of Head Start children and their families.

The Teacher’s Assistant will join the teacher in providing quality education opportunities for preschool aged children and for the day to day management of the classroom.   Additional responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans for daily learning activities, maintaining individual and classroom data for on-going assessment, evaluation and record keeping.  

Qualifications:

      • CDA Credential

      • AA in ECE or related field with equivalent of a major in ECE (preferred)

      • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

      • Computer skills (required)

      • Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD (a plus)
